Rental Storage Policies 

LATE FEES

Rent is due the first of each month and delinquent after 5 p.m. on the fifth of each month. A $2.00 per day penalty will be enforced for late payments. The late fees start accruing from the first, if the rent is not paid for the fifth.

All checks left after 5 p.m. on the fifth will be processed as an electronic check and late fees will be added to bring the account current. 

Late fee schedule:
Daily fee - $2.00
Fifth - $10.00*
Fifteenth - $25* 
Month end - $100.00* 
(used for advertising auction of property)
*(IN ADDITION TO DAILY FEE)  

Insufficient Funds

Any checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $35 fee in addition to any late fees acquired during that time. 

Unlawfully Occupying a Unit

If you occupy a unit without returning the paperwork given to you at the time of move in, you will be locked out and charged an illegal occupant fee of $3.00 per day from the day you occupied the unit until the forms and payment are turned in.

Self Storage Insurance

You are responsible for your self storage insurance. However, we recommend, and will offer upon move in, Safestor Tenant Insurance. We recommend that you provide proof of insurance coverage or immediately obtain coverage for any stored property. 

Safestor Tenant Insurance covers tornado, smoke, hurricane, leaking water, earthquake, explosion, wind, fire, hail, burglary, lighting and vermin. If you are interested in Safestor Tenant Insurance, please inquire about the self storage insurance by calling Rod at 256-830-2555.

Moving Out

When you no longer need a storage space for rent, we ask that you give a 30-day notice before moving out. You must be moved out of your unit by the last day of the month.

If you require moving out before the end of the month, you will still be charged for an entire month of occupancy.
